January 13, 2021: Highlights of 2020

By all accounts, 2020 was kind of a crap year. I’m not going to tell you why, there are too many things to list and hey, if you don’t know, more power to you, I guess. I’m not sure I want to know what you’re smoking.

All the same, even a bad year can have good things happen, so in this show, we’re going to take a look at some of the great jazz, swing, and blues tracks that were released despite all the other shit happening in … you guessed it, 2020.

Any tracks or albums released in 2020 that I missed? Let me know in the comments. Thanks and enjoy!

December 23, 2020: Ding Dong, The Witch Is Dead!

Let the joyous news be spread, the wicked old witch, at last, is dead.

Well, you know … fingers crossed.

In the meantime, here is a new show! I’m working on a holiday show too, which may come out as early as Friday, so keep your eyes peeled.

Until then, happy holidays to you and yours!

With love, Ahniwa.

October 14, 2020: Power Outage Blues

We had some high winds and power outage issues the last few days, which made it really hard to get a show recorded. So even though this says it came out on October 14, I actually posted it on October 15. Yes, I’m a big fat liar.

Trying something new this week, which is to post an image file of the entire playlist. Let me know what you think!

October 7, 2020: Don’t Call it a Comeback

Alright, okay, you win. This weekly thing is tough. Still working out the kinks. But here we are, with tons more new music, so that’s good, right?

Yeah, yeah, that’s the ticket … in other news, I watched that Alive and Kicking documentary last week, and it was great. I found it on Hulu, but I’m sure it is other places as well.

This week we’re rocking tunes from Aurora Nealand, Blind Boy Chocolate and the Milk Sheiks, Emily Estrella, Gordon Au, Jonathan Doyle, Meschiya Lake, Moonshine Rhythm Club, and many more! Enjoy!

September 16, 2020: You’re Beginning to Be a Habit With Me

Does two shows make a streak? I’m saying yes. Good job, team, pats on the back all around. Too late to make it this week live on the air, but I’m going to post on the site anyway, as this is the (quote/unquote) permanent home of the show, while all other locations are temporary and tertiary.

As always, boatloads of new music, including tracks from Albanie Falletta, Birch Pereira, Canibal Dandies, Emily Estrella, Jonathan Doyle, Hot Sugar Band, and many, many, many more. Enjoy!
